High School Program
Day School
Westar works with Greater Cincinnati private and public high schools to help students find their best-fit school. Our services include:
- English proficiency and culture training in China
- School selection and application
- Academic readiness for specific schools
- Host family arrangement and training
- Visa application preparation
- Orientation and adaptation training after students arrive in the US
- Act as guardian for students while they are enrolled in US schools
- Act as a liaison to ensure open and regular communication between the student, the school, the host family in the US, and the student’s parents in China
- Organize activities to help the student understand US values, culture, and etiquette

Summer Camp
Westar has a history of running fun, challenging, and educational summer camps. We work with schools, organizations, education institutes, corporations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to bring students from the US and China to share their different histories, cultures, and traditions in order to help improve cross-cultural understanding and communication. Camps will also center around the theme of “love” – aimed at volunteering and global citizenship. Programs like these – such as teaching English to students in small and remote towns and villages – not only help the less fortunate, but also help our students have greater appreciation and live with a more thankful heart.
To better prepare Chinese students – especially new high school students – for the challenging environment they face in the US, Westar partners with schools and companies in both US and China each summer to introduce students to the American learning style and classroom environment. We have pioneered working with local schools for Summer English Enrichment Camp, which is only available through Westar. On top of classroom learning experiences, students will have field trips to local attractions and historic sites. We have also brought teachers to China to help students get a head start on their reading and writing abilities.
College Application
With professional consultants from all fields of studies, Westar can help students evaluate their academic status honestly, plan their career path practically, and select the college best-suited to their needs. We guide students through the application process and can help refine the application's presentation to increase its success rate. Our teachers also prepare candidates for school interviews and visa applications.
Graduate School Application
The graduate school application is very different from an undergraduate college application. Westar evaluates each applicant’s situation, including undergraduate study, personality, working experience, habit of study, etc., before providing recommendations on school selection and major. Each applicant is assigned a teacher who monitors progress throughout the process.
