Jane Zhang
For many young people in this generation, their study abroad experience is intertwined with many obstacles and confusion. As the founder and general manager of the Westar Education consulting firm, my wish is to help provide each student a smooth study abroad experience. Although the road may still occasionally be bumpy, my colleagues and I will do everything we can with our love and experience to provide our students shelter. We strive to nurture self-confidence, disperse fears of failures and disappointments, guiding them toward a path of success, joy and hope.
Emily Zheng
As the mother of a child who is starting a new chapter of his life at University this fall, I have experienced all the tears and joys, anxiety and excitement, and certainly hopes and dreams that many parents may have already experienced or will experience during the long journey of raising a child.
As an educator at Westar Education, I would like to share my personal experiences with all the parents who put their children in our hands with belief and trust. To me, each student coming to Westar family is precious and thus deserves my best care and attention. I applaud our students’ braveness and courage to pursue their educational dreams in the U. S. at such young ages. As always, I will do my very best to help them succeed. Picturing more and more Westar students growing into wonderful individuals with not only academic excellence but also big and warm hearts, I cannot be more content and joyful.
Susan Meng
The ever-changing modern society requires more and more from us each day. With years of entrepreneurial experience providing consulting services to telecommunications, health care, and education companies in North America and China, I understand and experience daily how the world has changed since the day when I first set foot on the promised land more than twenty years ago.
As an educator and a mother, I believe that character building, academic achievements, and healthy life habits combined form the foundation for life-long happiness ahead. Every child who comes through Westar has their own purpose in the world, and my role is to understand them individually and help create a loving support network around them so that they can find their own path in life. Working with students, schools, host families, and students’ parents, we strive to build this network together. I cannot think of a more rewarding goal in life than that.
Jerry Schrock
Welcome to Westar Education L.L.C. My name is Jerry Schrock and I am a long-time resident of the Mason/Cincinnati area and a recently retired school teacher of thirty years. I have a great deal of experience working with students and family from many cultures.
My teaching career lasted 30 years and ended with my retirement in the spring of 2015. My teaching duties ranged from grades five through twelve and included the areas of social studies and computer science. In addition to numerous educator of the year awards, I have gained national attention for my Blue Dot program which encourages communication between youth and adults to help them adjust to difficulties in their lives.
As you are in the process of making the decision to join us in our Westar families, I want you to know that I understand that you are very important to our success and that I appreciate the role that you and I each play in our students’ achieving their goals. I will do anything within my power to support you after your decision to join us here at Westar and use all of my vast experiences to ensure your happiness and success.
